Hello there!

My name's Ella and Lovely Little Crochet is my little creative outlet. Originally from Liverpool, I grew up on the Wirral Peninsula. I spent my early 20s living all over the UK including: Sheffield, Leeds and Ipswich and I even lived in Dublin, Ireland for a year. I moved to Reading, Berkshire, in 2014 where I met my husband. We settled in Hampshire in 2019 with our entourage of animals, including: a guinea pig; four bantam hens; and a three-legged cat. The countryside life suits me just fine - the abundance of fresh air and greenery, with plenty of woodlands on our doorstep. We welcomed our son in October 2023, and he has been my brand embassador ever since.

In the real world, I'm a primary school teacher and SENDCo. I love my job and couldn't imagine doing anything else. That being said, the job demands a lot and I've had to learn to take better care of myself and my wellbeing. Amongst crochet, my other interests include baking, gardening, going for long walks and being by the sea.

On the 5th May 2020, Lovely Little Crochet was born and has continued to grow as I've expanded my skills. My mental health was at it's lowest pre-pandemic and crochet was one of the things that pulled me through. There's something in the repetitive nature of it: keeping my hands busy; and having to focus on counting stitches keeps my brain distracted.
